Highlands University Students Gain Experience Through Paid Internships

New Mexico Highlands University business majors Kendall Abron, left, Jessica Varella, and Chris Burns, right, an M.B.A. student, worked at the U.S. Forest Service Albuquerque site this summer as paid interns through a Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities program. Dozens of outstanding Highlands University students studying business, archaeology, biology, political science and more competed with students nationwide for coveted paid internships from Oregon to Washington, D.C. The university’s Career Services Office helped the students find the internships, and is also a resource for interview coaching, resume preparation, career planning and other services.  For information, contact Career Services at careerservices@nmhu.edu or 505-454-3048.
