NMHU University-Wide Strategic Planning Committee Timeline
July 22, 2019 convened the first meeting and received the committee charge from President Minner
Summer, 2019 reviewed various strategic plans from other universities, discussed process for engaging the broad campus community, and brainstormed ideas for the strategic plan high-level goals
Fall, 2019 held bi-weekly committee meetings and developed a campus-wide survey to canvas opinions about multiple goals. Visited with Faculty and Student Senates, the President’s Executive Management Team, Center constituencies, Las Vegas Associates, NE Regional Workforce Board, and K-12 representatives and the Presidents of Luna Community College and the World College
Winter, 2019 administered a 17-item Strategic Goals Survey to 330 campus participants that included faculty, students, staff, and invested community members. Analyzed the quantitative and qualitative survey results. Selected five goals for inclusion into the draft strategic plan.
Spring, 2020 drafted and administered the 47-item Strategic Objectives Survey to 124 members of the campus community to build more specificity into our strategic plan.
Summer, 2020 analyzed the quantitative results of the objective survey and also took an internal committee survey examining the measurability of the various objectives. Proposed the final draft of the NMHU Strategic Plan 2025.
Fall, 2020 secured the approval of the Faculty Senate, General Faculty, Student Senate, and Staff Senate of the draft strategic plan and submitted the draft to President Minner.
October 9th, 2020 the Board of Regents unanimously approved NMHU Strategic Plan 2025.
