The $500 check from the Las Vegas Board of Realtors Community Fund benefits the Territorial Title Endowed Scholarship that the Mares’ established at Highlands in 1997, the year after they purchased the title company. The local realtors donate money from each closing to their community fund and the Mares’ match each contribution. Over the years, the Las Vegas Board of Realtors Community Fund has donated money every quarter to worthy local organizations.
