Noble comes to NMHU from Western New Mexico University, where he has served as the Executive Director of Athletics since 2018. He brings a wealth of collegiate athletics experience to the NMHU Athletics with over two decades in the field.

“My goal is to be highly competitive in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), and I look forward to what we can do to make each of our programs highly competitive,” Noble said. “The first question that we have to answer is, ‘Do we want to be participants or do we want to be competitors? We will get there.”

During his time at WNMU, Noble’s department always maintained a grade point average greater than 3.00. Under Noble’s supervision, student-athlete enrollment also increased every year over the last five years.

“Our student athletes are students first. I’m the father of three collegiate student-athletes. I am aware of the expectations that student-athletes and their parents have of an athletic department. Our priority is to develop the whole student-athlete. Academic excellence will always remain the No. 1 focus for the department.”

“Scott’s vision and expectations for NMHU Athletics really excites me,” NMHU President Neil Woolf said. “We clearly share a parallel vision for NMHU athletics that prioritizes both competitive and academic success, and I’m sure everyone will share my excitement once Scott has put his stamp on the department.”

Noble will begin his tenure at NMHU on Monday, June 9. He and his wife, Debbie, have three grown children, Cade, Danielle, and Karli.

Noble is an alum of Dodge City Community College (transfer) and Western Illinois University, where he finished his football career earning a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. He earned a master’s degree in Physical Education/Sport Administration at Eastern Illinois University while working as a football graduate assistant.
