Drywall is delivered Oct. 2 for the north wing of the new residence hall under construction near Washington Avenue and 9th Street. The 3-story, 100,000-square-foot residence hall will help fill a pressing need for more student housing on campus.  It is being built on the site of the old high rise residence hall that was demolished in 2007 due to safety concerns. Construction for the new student housing project is on schedule, according to Franken Construction, project contractor. Eighty-three local workers were employed onsite Oct. 2.
