Programs Offered

Our Mission

To prepare quality nurse health care providers through excellence in education, scholarship and service.  The programs build on the strength of the licensed Registered Nurse and challenge the individuals enrolled in this program to expand their critical thinking for the new professional nursing roles, methods of health care delivery and approaches to health care practice issues.

As reflected in our Mission, our programs prep tomorrow’s nurse leaders to improve health care in rural communities.

We offer two programs, the RN-BSN and the MSN/FNP, which provide graduates with career options in leadership or direct patient care and advanced practice. Our stackable format allows students to seamlessly transition from the RN-BSN to the MSN/FNP program while building on previous nursing experiences.

We offer small classes and because of that, you will have an intensely personalized experience.  At Highlands, we  are committed to your success.  Advisors and faculty are available to tailor your plan of study, advise you on your changing career goals and help you integrate work and family life with your academic demands.

Both the RN-BSN and the MSN/FNP programs are offered in an online format to accommodate working nurses. Clinical Practicums are arranged with the assistance of program advisors and faculty. If you would like more information, please select the program tab that is of interest to you.
