Master of Arts in Criminology
NMHU’s online master of arts in criminology supports careers in policing, corrections, law, government, private security, and other related fields. You will acquire the cultural, methodological, and analytical skills needed to interpret available information related to crime and relevant social justice issues. Here, you will continue your graduate education in criminology, sociology, criminal justice studies, social justice, and/or law.
The program includes an advanced understanding of sociological theory and a thorough examination of trends in the field of criminal behavior, criminal justice, and social justice.
We help advance criminal justice professionals to leadership positions within their current agencies. We prepare students for post law-enforcement career opportunities and enable students to teach criminology, sociology, and criminal justice courses at junior-level colleges.
Upon completion of the online master of arts in criminology, you will be able to conceptualize, analyze, criticize, and theorize the changing nature of crime, criminal behavior, criminal justice institutions, and social justice in today’s world.
