Music Education majors must choose a Minor in Secondary Education through the School of Education. Students begin integration between music and education minor as early as their sophomore year. Students choose a primary area of study in voice and/or instrumental areas. It is highly recommended that music education students regularly consult with advisers in both music and education. The Music Education degree is a five-year program that conforms to the state requirements for licensure.
