Dr. Robert Bell graduated from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his post-doctoral training there. He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico and is a practicing ophthalmologist. He has collected prints for over four decades, with special expertise in nineteenth – and early twentieth- century European and American artists. A major donor of original fine art prints to universities and museums, he has lectured widely on the history and techniques of printmaking. Dr. Bell has also been a patron of printmaking students at New Mexico Highlands University since 2001 and has donated over 2,000 original prints to the university. |
