Degree and Enrollment Verification
At times, companies or potential employers may call New Mexico Highlands University to verify if a student graduated from NMHU. In the past, we would verbally verify this information or fill out a form to verify. We are now using the National Student Clearinghouse to verify this information.
Enrollment verification is done when someone contacts NMHU to verify if a student is currently attending Highlands, or has attended NMHU in the past. While it is usually for employment purposes, but it can also be used for educational purposes such as outstanding loans, scholarships, etc.
The National Student Clearinghouse is now the authorized agent for NMHU, providing enrollment and degree verifications. If you are an employer or background screening firm requesting this information, please contact the National Student Clearinghouse for enrollment and degree verifications.
