** NMHU NETWORK DISTURBANCE INFORMATION **

Thank you for your interest in either providing, receiving, or working with interpreter services at New Mexico Highlands University.  Using the links below, you will find general information regarding our policies, procedures, and employment information.  Highlands understands that quality communication is at the heart of the educational enterprise and interpreting plays a critical role in making education a real and acceptable alternative for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.  Disability Services strongly encourages those who provide, those who receive, and those who work with interpreting services to thoroughly read the information contained in the links in this section.  Only in this way can the complete picture of the relationship between the student, the university, and the interpreter fully emerge.

Students who have attended Highlands in the past, but are not currently attending classes, must follow the procedures and time lines in the “Guidelines for Prospective Students.”
