Faculty and Staff Honored at Awards Ceremony

Marka Trujillo, above left, receives the Outstanding Service Award, Elizabeth Ratzlaff receives President Minner’s Choice Award, and Melissa Bassett receives the Outstanding Performance Award at the 18th Annual Employee Recognition Awards Ceremony breakfast April 12. Trujillo is a human resources generalist in the Human Resources Office, Ratzlaff is the Achieving in Research Math and Science (ARMAS) director, and Bassett is an admissions specialist in the Student Recruitment and Undergraduate Admissions Office. Retirees were also honored along with those who have served Highlands for five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 35 and 40 years.

Gilbert Valdez, right, of the Facilities Services Department gets a hug from his daughter Kimberly Blea at the employee awards breakfast.
