Isaac Sandoval, left, co-owner of The Skillet restaurant in Las Vegas, serves a chocolate dessert to Highlands alumna and physical therapist Roberta Lucero at the Highlands Foundation Office’s “Love and War” chocolate competition Feb. 6. The Range Café in the historic Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas took first place honors. The fundraiser generated $5,380 for student scholarships and other student success efforts. An estimated crowd of 200 turned out for the Highlands Loves Family event, the most ever.
