New Center for Teaching Excellence Open House Draws Crowd

 

Diana Marrs, director of the new Center for Teaching Excellence at Highlands University, speaks at its open house Nov. 20. The center aims to increase student success at Highlands through ongoing faculty and instructor development. Other speakers at the open house included Sam Minner, Highlands University president, Teresita Aguilar, provost and vice president of academic affairs, Leveo Sánchez, chair of the university’s Board of Regents, and LouElla Marr-Montoya, a member of the Board of Regents. The Center for Teaching Excellence is in the Victoria D. Sanchez Teacher Education Center, Room 102, 1031 11th St. The center was developed in collaboration with the university’s faculty.
