Take your shot for $100!

  • All students taking at least 6 credits during the fall 2021 semester who have submitted proof that they have been vaccinated by November 1, 2021 will receive a $100 check from NMHU! • Vaccination proof means a photo of your vaccine card is uploaded into the Banner system. See #8 below to enter your proof and to qualify for the $100 check.
  • Your check will be mailed to the official address you have on file with the university.

FAQs:

      1. If I have already submitted all this information to you, am I eligible to receive the $100 check? YES! Nothing else is required of you. Watch for your check to be mailed to you at the official address you have on file with the university.
      2. Am I eligible even if I already uploaded notice that I am attending remotely? YES! Just upload your vaccination card showing you received both doses of a two-dose series (Moderna or Pfizer–BioNTech) or one dose of a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) by November 1, 2021, in the Banner system.
      3. Am I eligible if I have an approved medical or religious exemption? YES. If you have an approved medical or religious exemption and have submitted at least three negative tests by November 1, 2021, you are also eligible for the $100 check.
      4. Am I eligible if I am NOT vaccinated, do NOT have an exemption but am testing every two weeks? NO, you are not.
      5. Am I eligible if I have received only one shot of a two-dose vaccine by November 1, 2021? NO, you must have received both doses of a two-dose series (Moderna or Pfizer–BioNTech) or one dose of a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson). You have plenty of time to receive your second dose by the November 1, 2021 deadline. If you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you will only need one dose.
      6. Where can I schedule a vaccine appointment? Go to vaccineNM.org to schedule an appointment.
      7. Where can I get help uploading my vaccine card? You can reach out to either the EOC at EOC@nmhu.edu or the ITS Help Desk at ITSHelpDesk@nmhu.edu.
      8. How do I access the Banner system to upload my card? Go to www.nmhu.edu. Click on “MyNMHU Portal” at the top of the page. You will need to use your NMHU e-mail and password to log in. Then click on “Self-Service Banner” on the next page. Finally, click on the “Vaccine & Testing Verification” link on this page to enter your vaccine information. This is the only way to qualify and the only thing you need to do to qualify for the $100check.
      9. If I am a part-time student, am I eligible? You must be taking at least 6 credits in the fall semester to qualify.
      10. If I am a center student, am I eligible? Yes, if you meet all other criteria listed in this memo.
      11. What address will the $100 check be sent to? The check will be sent to the current mailing address you have on file through Banner.
