Join a club or start your own!
It’s not just about the books. Your education extends beyond the classroom and includes meeting new people, trying new experiences, and getting more involved with those who share similar interests or passions. The Center for Professional Development and Career Readiness oversees clubs and organizations established by students, including club sports. Each club represents a unique interest on campus, so it is almost guaranteed that all Highlands students will find a place for them. If not, start your own!

Interested in joining a club or organization? A complete list of existing clubs and organizations can be found on Engage. You can search for clubs and organizations based on your interests, as well as find upcoming events for clubs and organizations and communicate directly with the club or organization that you are interested in joining!

If you have any questions about how to navigate Engage, please visit the Engage Navigation Resources page for more information or contact Jaycie Loud at jmloud@nmhu.edu.

Interested in chartering a club or organization?

All chartered clubs and organizations must apply or reapply to the Center for Professional Development & Career Readiness during the fall semester, no later than September 15, of each year to be officially recognized by the university. Clubs or organizations wishing to apply or reapply for a chartered status must submit their charter application form on Engage by the deadline. New clubs or organizations may submit their charter application form on Engage at any point during the fall semester. Prior to applying for a chartered status, all clubs are encouraged to read the Campus Clubs Handbook Information and the Campus Clubs Handbook PDF, and reach out to Jaycie Loud at jmloud@nmhu.edu with any questions you may have!
